Yaad e Karbala

It is a noha book when interpreted in the light of Shia views, is a lament about the tragedy of Imam Husayn(A.S.W) ibn Imam Ali(A.S.W) in the Battle of Karbala. Noha has the historical and social milieu of pre-Islamic Arabic culture. These are like poems; poems of mourning. Lamentation has a central part in the literature of the followers and devotees of the Shia sect and its offshoots. The tradition of elegising Hussain and the Karbala tragedy is not limited to Arabic speaking poets. Poets from different languages have also contributed significant poetic literature in their language.
